We human beings are really special animals.
Our history, our past is a succession of episodes with a unique denominator: desire of going beyond.
The unrestrainable thirst to realize our own dreams, this incredible act of faith of putting our desires at disposal and loss of our own life has rendered us fragile but at the same time courageous, in other words has made us human.
Images of impossible deeds: Columbus…discovery of America, attempt to fly (Write brothers), preparation of the satellite for the alien contact.
Between us there is who has been able to fly so to ridicule scepticism and there are those who have fallen (scene of the titanic) against any prediction.
Some have taken it good (images of David steering a sail boat) others that have taken it bad (surreal images of someone trying to commit suicide)
But if we reflect it has always been worth it.
This is my story, the story of someone that has never wanted to desist from his own dream….that maybe has never reached it, but has had the privilege to graze it, the story of a man that in the count of life has given and received and has always defended the utopian ideal of feelings, because it’s there that you meet courage, that courage that is the unique and true drive to never give up.

David Parente with a shopping bag is walking towards home.
Scene 2 ext. Afternoon.New York.
A flash is seen illuminating the countenance of Valentine Rossi at the entrance of a press conference. Place full of people. 3 bodyguards open the way for Valentine.
Scene 3 ext. Afternoon. Miami
David arrives home. Takes the keys and opens the door. A piece of luggage is creating an obstacle to opening the door, using force David enters the home, puts the shopping bag in the kitchen, looks around and goes towards the bedroom. There he finds Lisa (his girlfriend) about to take close out of the closet. David grabs her by the arm.
David: What’s happening?
Lisa: (looking at him with vexation)... I’m leaving and it’s not a joke.
Scene 4 ext. Afternoon. New York
An employee enters the conference room, turns the microphone on.
Employee: Gentlemen your attention please, (with a finger hits the microphone to see if it’s on) in a few moments Valentine Rossi will be available for the press conference, please follow the order of the questions...
Scene 5 ext. Afternoon. Miami
David and Lisa sit on a couch.
Lisa: David, "The rainy day has come" (takes David’ hands), I have just received a proposal from the emissary, I think it’s time that we face up to our relationship.
David: Wait a second, (with an expression of surprise, pushes her hands away and places them his hands on his head) it’s months that we are discussing on the same point; your job has nothing to do with us.
Lisa: What do you mean nothing? Don’t you realize how different we are? I am tired to have a dreamer on my side, I’m annoyed of being your mother, I have targets in my life, thanks to God this opportunity has arrived, David, they have offered me the position of anchor for a regional network, for the first time after so many years I will put my face on television, I will be…..
David: Famous? (With a expression of discomfort)
Lisa: Yes.
The two take a break, David gets up, walks around , gets close to the window and looks outside intensely .
Scene 6 ext .Afternoon. New York
Journalist: Valentine, it appears that after the album comes out you will take a long period of rest, true?
Valentine: Absolutely not, (with an amused expression and looking towards her manager) like any good and respected artist I’m preparing the tour.
Journalist: How many dates and where?
Valentine: In this moment I cannot give dates or places, I can only confirm that it will be a tour principally studied for the most important American cities and that I will be there and clearly my piano. (Laughing)
Scene 7 ext. Afternoon.Miami
David: I thought that we were the centre of everything.
Lisa: David wake-up! No one is tied to anyone for life; we are two individualities that walk parallel.
David: Well, I thought instead that we were two individuals that were forming a world in common.
Lisa: Dream, dream, as usual! You love to fly with fantasy (with authoritative attitude ), today more than ever I’m realizing that your bank job is limited for you, you should have been a writer or a musician. (ironically)
Scene 8 ext. Afternoon.New York
Valentine ends the press conference; she gets up and goes towards her manager.
Valentine: Tony, where is J.J.?
Tony: Last time I saw him he was going towards your dressing-room, I think he is waiting for you there.
Scene 9 ext. Afternoon. Miami
David: I have always put feelings in the centre of all, (expression of fury) according to you is it wrong to have the desire to build a family?
Lisa: Enough with these feelings, I want concreteness, real things, touchable, I am not a loving woman, I am a person with her feet on the ground and have precise goals, I don’t want to have children, I don’t want obstacles to my career, find yourself someone that will give you that type of love that so much you are looking for, the world is full of lonely woman, it won´t be hard to find company.
David: Lisa please don’t go.
Lisa: It’s for our good.
Lisa gets up from the couch, takes the two luggage and opens the door, gives a last look at David and goes, outside there is a car with a friend of her inside that is waiting, David looks out the window and accompanies Lisa exit with his eyes.
Scene 10 ext. Afternoon.New York
Valentine opens the door of the dressing-room, inside is J.J. bent over on the table, drugging himself, and was caught by surprise.
Valentine: You can´t really do without it, isn’t true J.J.? At least respect my spaces, when you need to sniff that shit go in the bathroom!
Valentine takes a piece of cotton, wets it and starts to clean her face.
J.J.: For my next movie I must lose 5 kilograms, this shit, how you call it, is helping me!
Valentine: Bullshit! If you need to lose waight go to the gym or start running every morning.
J.J.: and concentration? Where do you put concentration? Do you think it’s easy to learn a script of 60 pages?
Valentine while finishing to clean her face looks at J.J. from the mirror.
Valentine: I am under pressure 365 days per year, and I don’t need to arrive at such.
J.J.: You are you and I am I, you are the exception and I am the rule, it’s part of our golden world.
Valentine get up takes the cotton, still wet, and throws with violence at J.J., opens the door and leaves slamming it behind her.
SEQUENCE 2:
Scene 1: ext. Night. Miami. David’s home.
David sits in the same lounge chair with a sad expression, gets up, goes in the bedroom, enters in the bathroom and opens the medicine cabinet, takes some boxes in his hands, there are tranquilizers and slipping pills, puts them together in the same cabinet.
Takes a shower.
He showers like if he wants to get off of his body negative energy.
Once finished the shower he puts on a robe and reaches the living room. Turns the television on. The interview of Valentine Rossi is on.
David watches intensely.
Scene of remembering:
At one point you see David laying on a bed next to his mother. The two are watching television. A talk show with Valentine is on. David takes his mother´s hand and tells her...
David: This is the only woman that I would marry eyes closed.
The scene returns into the living room.
David takes his eyes off the television and looks towards the piano he has in the room.
At one point you see a scene where he is playing the piano.
His eyes turn on the television.
The show on Valentine Rossi ends.
He returns looking at the piano. There is Valentine Rossi that looks at him, smiles and starts to play.
The phone rings.
David answers the phone
David: Yes, who is it?
On the other side there is a familiar voice.
Andrew Linch: David it’s me.
David: Andrew.
Andrew: don’t say a thing, I know everything, Lisa already called Lorena, how do you feel?
David: like a moppet to which they just cut the stings off.
Andrew: I can imagine, but now calm down, take a shower, let’s meet tomorrow morning early by me, stop by at the Marina before going out for the boat ride, will have a coffee and talk.
David: ok.
Hangs up the phone and his look returns to the piano.
David closes his eyes.
Scene 2 ext .Night New York. Valentine’s house (dream of David)
A scene with David and Valentine together opens up. David is sitting in front of the piano of Valentine. The two look at each other and smile. There is a TV on. Valentine takes a remote control and turns it off.
David: fantastic, this piano is simply fantastic, the sound, the key, the according, wow valentine it’s from the time of the conservatory that I don’t play a piano like this.
Valentine: (smiling) you know, without acoustic return I can´t compose.
David: I love to see you playing.
Valentine: Don’t look at me like that, you make me red.
David: I wrote something for you.
David starts to play.
Music (to compose)
End playing
Valentine: David (with a tear of emotion) I’ve always asked myself where you were... where you were hiding.
David: (looking at her puts his index finger on his lips in sign of silence and softly says) you are so beautiful.
From the inside pocket of his jacket he pulls out a sheet of paper and give’s it to Valentine, there is a red pencil heart designed on it.
Scene 3 ext. Morning early. Miami. David’s house.
The picture goes on a alarm-clock that is ringing and indicates 7.00 am.
David’s eyes open.
Scene 4 ext.Morning. Miami. on the road.
David in the car. He gets passed by a bus with a publicity of Valentine.
The picture again on David’s eyes.
Scene 5 ext.Morning .Marina of Miami.
David’s arrival in a car at the yacht club. Park’s and enters walking. He’s directed in a building.
Enters. Sees the porter.
David: Good morning Michael.
Michael: Good morning Mr. Parente.
David: Can you tell me where I can find Mr. Linch?
Michael: He left me a message for you; he is waiting for you at pier 4.
David: Thank you.
Scene 6 ext. Morning. Pier 4 yacht club Miami.
David is directed to pier 4
There is a wooden sail boat that is anchored to the pier with Andrew on it that has a busy attitude.
Andrew sees David arriving and waving tells him to enter.
David takes his shoes off and jumps on the boat.
Andrew: what heat! Come on, sit here, it’s from yesterday that I’m trying to reactivate the electrical system. (David smiles and sits at stern)
David: what a beautiful boat.
Andrew: it’s of a costumer of mine; he has so much money that he hardly uses it, he calls always for the same reasons, electricity and mould... by the way, want a coffee? I conserved some from the last drip this morning.
David: yes, I really need it.
Andrew enters in the cabin and to stern with a cup of coffee, give’s it to David.
David: Thank you (takes the cup and starts to sip)
Andrew: So, let’s get to the point; first of all I wanted to ask you if you were able to sleep?
David: more or less, between attacks of sadness and anxiety I got a couple of hours.
Andrew: it’s always like that, the first few day are the hardest.
David: but in general over all I’m not that bad, believe me.
Andrew: David, all it takes is 10 sec looking at your face to understand that it’s not true, I’ve known you to long.
Andrew stands up get some sugar and give’s to David.
Andrew: You know, I don’t want to add fuel to the fire, but I have a personal idea on your relationship with Lisa, just yesterday I was speaking about it with Lorena, you know how women are today, they focus more on what they can get rather what they can give, maybe Lisa among all is the least taker.
David: Andrew like this you are not helping me.
Andrew: David, let be realistic, do you believe that Lorena is the ideal woman? The perfect woman? The answer is no, because in this world the ideal woman does not exist.
Andrew takes a break
Andrew: look at my life, once the initial pleasure ended, it became like a shitty accountants book, I live to solve problems, I give 90 and receive 10.
David: well, if that’s the way it is, it’s better to be on your own, don’t you think so? (Sipping coffee)
Andrew: it’s not true, David, you more than anyone else need a companion, you need to build a family, remember you lost your parents, yes it’s true, you have some friends but it’s not enough, what you need is to be cold blooded and have the capacity of not throwing you feelings completely in a relationship with a woman, if not she will destroy you.
David: but I’m not alone, I have a lot of resources and curiosities that never leave me time to be alone.
Andrew: (laughing ironically) like?
David: like music, all I need to do is sit in front of a piano and my guardian angels come to my aid,(smiling) it’s something that you don’t play you can´t understand.
Andrew: David, hitting a few notes on a piano is a worthy hobby and fun but is not the solution to you problem, fuck, sometimes when I talk with you I feel like I’ talking with Lorena, get off the cloud that you have created under your ass and start to dirty your hands of reality, you´re not a kid anymore.
David: otherwise? Go back with Lisa? Is this what you’re telling me? (With force)
Andrew: no, all I’m asking you is to reflect a bit, because you are my best friend and I worry about you , take a break, ok? (The tone of the conversation mellows, Andrew moves toward David and hugs David), come on, Lorena and I are close to you, you know you can count on us.
David: yes I know, I know.
Andrew: come on, will wait for you Wednesday for dinner, be strong.
Scene 7 ext .Day New York. Tony’s office.
Valentine is sitting in front of Tony’s desk. She is looking at the framed picture of Tony and his family.
Valentine: you really have a beautiful family.
Tony smiles at her and his hand takes a script out of the desk.
Tony: My great artist, let´s talk about us, so, (opens the script and starts to reed) tomorrow morning you have the interview at the radio station, in the afternoon the photo shots for the magazine, after dinner remember that there is the program and at last the charity expo for witch your are the sponsor.
Valentine: I won’t even ask you about the other days.
Tony: you’re better off not asking.
Tony then takes a poster out of the desk and shows it to Valentine.
Tony: Give it a look; it’s the presentation poster for the tour.
Valentine takes it in her hands and looks at it carefully.
Valentine: sincerely? Don’t like it, the back ground colour is to strong, more than a concert it seems the advertisement of a psicatelic show.
Valentine’s cellular phone rings.
Valentine: Tony forgive me, give me a minute, it’s my mother.
Valentine takes the cellular phone and starts to talk to her mother.
Valentine: yes mom yes, don’t worry, come on I’ll try to see you this week, yes, you know, come on, I love you.
Valentine hangs up
Valentine: still today my mother is the most anxious and worried person I know.
Tony: mothers are all alike.
Valentine: No Tony, you don’t have an Italian mother, you can’t understand the difference, I’m 28 years old and she still calls me every day to know what I’m eating, she is an unshakeable presence in my life, but if today I’m here I for sure owe it to her.
Scene 8 ext. Day Miami. Bank: David’s working place.
The scene starts with David entering the bank with a briefcase.
Phones are ringing. David enters a hall and arrives at his working site.
He sits at his desk and his boss arrives.
Boss: David, hurry up the stock exchange office is about to open, the future DJ is negative we must lower those options.
David: ok, just a minute and I’m ready.
David turns his computer and organizes his desk;
In that moment arrives Nancy, his colleague with a paper cup of coffee.
Nancy: good morning.
David: hey Nancy, good morning to you.
Nancy: I brought you a coffee.
David: thank you, I just had one, but leave it here that during the day I will surely need it....(indicating his boss that meanwhile is discussing on the phone).
Nancy: come here, the knot of you tie is not right.
David gets near Nancy that gently and looking at him intensely starts to fix his tie.
Nancy: here you go, now you look cuter. (in a witty way).
David looks at her, takes her hand and kisses it with affection.
The day passes. David is working with the phone in his hand the whole time.
Scene 9 ext. Afternoon Miami
David leaves the office, gets in the car and turns on the radio.
A song of Valentine Rossi is playing. The speaker announces the imminent tour of Valentine.
Scene 10 Ext. Afternoon. Miami
David enters his house. Parks the car in the garage and opens the house door.
Looks at himself in the mirror, takes off his tie, his blazer, pulls up his sleeves and goes near the piano.
Starts to play a famous music of Valentine (that’s the thing about love).
Scene 11 Ext. Afternoon. New York Central Park
Long the notes of Valentine’s song you see Valentine and David hand in hand walking in Central Park. It’s a hot sunny day. The two get close to an isolated corner with a tree. They take a plaid, lay it down and sit on it.
David hugs Valentine. Looks at her and smiles.
David: You know, in all my life I have divided the world in two categories, (take a pause) artists and the others. And among the artists, we musicians are something of our own. I don’t know why but it’s like being part of an elected caste. We feel more, we are more sensible, we are the only ones that speak a universal language, our soul is diverse.
He caresses her face.
I swear, I’m not interested in your fame, your money, your name.
What I feel for you is unconditioned, when I look at you I don’t have Valentine Rossi in front of me, I see instead the girl of the conservatory that study’s all day to learn how to play the flute, and is the same girl that with a guitar sings to crowds of people in the metro that for the hurry don’t notice that fantastic voice.
In a few words when I see you I see music and when I hear music I see you and I reflect myself in all of this.
Valentine closes her eyes and holds him in her arms tight.
SEQUENZA 3
Scene 1 ext. Night New York. Valentine Rossi apartment.
Valentine enters home, in the living room is J.J. setting in front of the television with a glass of whisky.
J.J.: here you are, (wave to her, puts the glass on a table and gets up) I just saw you in the television show, what the hell do your authors have in mind? They asked you questions that not even a stupid kid of 10 year old would ask you.
Valentine: it’s better that way, believe me (well taking her coat off)...it’s better that way if not I would have to say things that the American public is no used to listen or associate. (giving a look towards J.J.’s glass of whisky)
Valentine takes from a drawer 2 invitations for the charity party and gives one of them to J.J.
J.J.: and what’s this? (surprised)
Valentine: it’s the painting charity show that we have been invited to; I had told you about it, remember? Come on get ready that we are late.
J.J.: what? Oh no, let´s stay home (grabs her by an arm), what do you care about going to a charity event at 11.00 at night after a whole day of work?
Valentine: but it’s for a right cause, for cancer research.
J.J.: Cancer! what a pain in the ass! Look we are not the savers of the world, if we don’t go for sure the sickness will not disappear for magic, come on, shut your cell off and stay here, I have another nice program for us.
Valentine: out of discussion, as public figures we must give our contribution.
J.J.: right now I tired, I want to drink my bottle of whisky with my woman by my side, if for you it’s more important to go to one of those boring charity party’s go on your own, I’ll stay home (he turns and give’s her his shoulders), for sure will find good excuse to justify my absence. (from his back he wave’s his hand to salute and lays on the couch)
Valentine looks at him and shakes her head showing discomfort.
Scene 2 Ext. Day. Miami clinic
David in clinic during an ultra-sound.
After a bit you see David sitting in front of the doctor’s desk waiting.
Doctor enters, looks at him, pats him on the shoulder and sits in front of him.
Doctor: Here we are David, I already have with me the results of the analysis, so, listen, nothing to worry about.
David interrupts him.
David: Doctor, what do I have?
Doctor: I have noticed some small tumour signal in the prostate.
David: My God!
Doctor: fortunately it’s in a initial stage, we are in time to fight it, for a period you will need to receive a chemotherapy, but like I just say, no alarm.
David: Will it be painful?
Doctor: With the correct care only a major discomfort, but will need to eat healthy and try to avoid any type of exaggeration, (takes a pause) are there other cases of tumour in your family?
David: yes, I lost my mother two year ago cause a rare case of pancreatic cancer.
Doctor: I’m sorry, for this reason it’s better to star immediately the treatment, there a possibility genetic inheritance.
Scene 3 Ext. Day Miami. David’s house
David is in the house. Takes a picture of his mom from the library and sits on couch. Look at it carefully.
Scene 4 ext. Night. Miami. David’s house.
Scene of remembrance. The scene goes on a woman in a room on a bed with a intravenous feeding in her arm resting.
At one point she hears from the lower floor the sound of a piano with a sweet melody.
Gets up and with big effort goes down the stairs and reaches the room where David is playing.
At her site David stop playing.
Mother: don’t stop, continue, continue (making a gesture with hands)
David starts to play again.
Mother: sun, you are a person so full of talent, (look at him with love) at this I still ask myself what you are missing to accomplish yourself.
David: I don’t have the answer.
Mother: do something for me, promise me that you will never stop looking for that magic ingredient that you are missing, promise me. (holding David face in her hands)
David: I promise you mom, I promise.
Mother: I beg you; don’t ever give up in life, even if sometimes it does not give you what you deserve.
Scene 5 Ext. Day. Miami. David’ house.
The scene turns on David sitting on the couch. Puts the mothers picture on a lamp table, gets up and stars to look for a digital recorder.
He finds it and brings it with him to the piano. He sits and hits play on the recorder. The scene fades.
You see David in front of the computer with the recorder attached to it surfing on internet.
Scene 6 Ext. Night. Miami. David’ home.
Valentine is sitting in front of David’s piano.
David is standing and looking at her.
Valentine starts to play.

Once finished playing the scene fades and you see Valentine with her manager Tony that get out of a limousine with around a huge crowd of photographers and fans, the bodyguards open the path thru the people and in one corner there are some kids that are yelling Valentine’s name. Valentine makes a sign to her manager and goes towards the kids.
She kneels down, takes the smallest one hugs and kisses him, and starts to give autographs to everybody.
A one point a kid arrives from behind that gives her a paper sheet with a design on it.
Valentine takes it and opens it. It figures a heart with a piano.
SEQUENCE 4
Scene 1 ext. Night. Miami Casa di Andrew and Lorena Linch.
Andrew and Lorena’s house.
Door bell rings. Lorena still with kitchen apron goes to open.
Lorena: I’ll go. (With high voice)
Opens the door and on the other side is David with a bottle of wine in his hands.
Lorena: Hey sweetie, come on in.
David: Lorena.
The scene moves to the table. There is Andrew at the head of the table with a bottle opener in his hands, David and Alicia, the daughter of the couple; well Lorena is still in the kitchen preparing the dinner.
Andrew: Honey, how much longer? (Toward Lorena), I’m sure you are dying of hunger (towards David), lately Lorena has made huge progresses in the kitchen.
David: so then I did good bringing red wine.
Andrew: I think so, but a lot depends on if she has prepared meat....Honey (yelling), did you cook meat today?
Lorena: (from the kitchen) wait I’m arriving.
At a certain point Lorena comes through the kitchen door holding an enormous plate.
Lorena: no meat today, I did not know of the red wine and prepared fish.
Andrew: (toward David) fish or meat, I’m drinking wine anyway.
David: I’m fallowing you; you can serve me (presenting him the glass)
The scene continues with the tree characters conversing during the dinner and at one point the conversation goes towards certain subjects.
Lorena: I’m sure that life will present you the woman of your life without you even knowing. (Laughing).
Andrew: I’m convinced too, but you must put some of your own effort and then it’s not certain that there will be a return of Lisa, we are still in time.
David looks at him shocked.
Lorena: David can I ask you a question a bit personal?
David: Yes Lorena, what do you want to know?
Lorena: did you ever fall madly in love? Did you ever really love someone?
David: yes, just once.
Lorena: who, who?
David: I fell in love with her and I have never stopped thinking about her.
Andrew: David, who is it? And we never talked about it?
David: Valentine Rossi.
A sudden silence is interrupted by Andrew’s laughter.
Andrew: ahahahahah, what, are you crazy? Ahahahahah, what are you talking about?
David: of Valentine Rossi, the singer, you understood perfectly.
Andrew: are you talking seriously or is it one of your jokes? (Laughing)
Lorena: (towards Andrew), stop it, let him talk.
David: I’m not joking (With a serious attitude)
Andrew: (towards his young daughter) Alicia, honey, go to your room, the moment to have an adult discussion is arrived.
Alicia gets up, salutes her mother and gives a kiss to David.
Alicia: Bye uncle (towards David)
David: Bye my little one
Alicia goes to her room.
David: I know, it seems absurd and completely crazy, but I fell in love of Valentine Rossi, it was like love at first sight.
Lorena: did you ever meet her?
David: no, but it’s like if I’ve known her forever.
Andrew: what the hell are you saying? What love at first sight, what love?
David: I can´t stop thinking about her, just yesterday I passed the hole day on the computer, I taped a song, put it on You Tube dedicating it to her and then I wrote her.
Andrew: David, now I really worried (toward his wife), maybe it’s better to talk with a specialist.
Lorena: wait, wait.
David: I am nobody, I know, but I feel like if there is something bigger that ties me to this person, like something “Karma” related, from another life, all I know is that I see myself in her... her Italian origin, her love for music, her simplicity, it’s her, I have no doubt.
Andrew: You just said it, you’re a nobody! What makes you think that Valentine Rossi could be minimally interested in you ? And then, make me laugh, how are you going to meet her? With emails? (laughs again), do you realize how ridicule you’re becoming? You talk like a 14 year old girl in love of the Beatles.
David: all this makes you laugh, isn’t it true? And tell me, do you know Andy Wharol?
Andrew: Andy Wharol? What’s Wharol have to do with this now?
David: Well, Andy Wharol said that each one of us has 15 minutes of success in life, (makes a pause) my 15 minutes have not arrived, but be sure that when they arrive I will know how to use them.
Andrew: But how do you know? And even if you run in to the miracle of meeting her, who says that she is not already married, or that she won´t think that you are a psychopathic and sues you for vexation?
David: Andrew, everything is possible, believe me, the only difference that there is between me and her is fame, don’t forget that we have something stronger in common and that’s love for music, of those 15 minutes I only want 5 to pass with her.
Silence returns after a pause
David: Guys, I dead tired, thanks for the dinner, I’m going home.
Gets up and says goodbye.
Andrew: David, you scare me, you know?
David: I understand, I don’t blame you, come on, I’ll come to visit you at the Marina one of these days.
The scene moves outside Andrew’s house with David opening the car and from the door comes out Lorena and goes close to him.
Lorena: David (get’s close) why do you want only 5 minutes?
David: Because in those 5 minutes are concentrated 30 years of life.
Lorena: (approving) I stayed in silence the whole time, but my heart says I must sponsor you, even if all of this is crazy I’m with you.
David: Thanks Lorena, you don’t know what a pleasure that gives me.
Gives her a kiss and gets in the car.
Scene 2 Ext. Day. New York. Music and book store.
Valentine Rossi is in a book and music store and starts to here an acute sound, brings her hand to her ear like to plug it and looks around.
Tony is next to her.
Tony: What’s happening? What are you doing?
Valentine: my ear, my ear hurts, all of a sudden B#.
Tony: don’t worry, it’s a signal that someone is thinking of you, intensely (laughing) probably one of the 400 people that are in here (laughing again)
Valentine: funny.
Gets up and goes to the bathroom.
When she comes back on the other side of the shop-window is a known person that is looking in the store, after a few seconds the person leaves.
Valentine: O my God, that's Francesco (toward Tony)
Tony: who?
Valentine: Francesco, a dear friend of mine, we studied together at the conservatory, but we lost contact, wait (toward Tony), I’ll go out to call him.
Starts to get up and Tony stops her.
Tony: no, not now, the security guys have not been advised.
Valentine: but it’s only 100 feet!
Tony: no it’s too dangerous, you can´t on your own, find his contact on “my space”.

David is in the office, working on the computer. On the computer there is You Tube opened with videos of Valentine and the mailbox empty.
Scene 4 Ext. Night Miami
David and Nancy (his work college) sitting at dinner table with her talking but her words are like in the shady, David is staring in space.
Scene 5 Ext. Night New York
Valentine receives a painting at home. It’s her image painted with the style of Andy Wharol. Looks at the painting with love and looks for a place to hang it with a friend, she goes in the living room and there is J.J. laying exhausted and drunk.
Scene 6 Ext. Night. Miami
David returns home. Looks at himself in the mirror. Turns the radio on again. A song of Valentine starts. He gets in bed.
Scene 7 Ext. Day. Dream
David hears the music of the song and starts to sing it to Valentine.
Valentine: You know, you have a beautiful voice.
David: a little rough, but not bad.
Valentine: what would you do if one day you became very famous?
David: good question (takes a pause), I would takes just the money necessary to live and give the rest to charity, I can´t unite art with lucre, I think that each one of us should give his contribution to make this world better, can you really see me with a wig on and a fake beard try to not get recognized?
The two start to laugh.
SEQUENCE 6
Scene 1 Ext. Day. Miami. Public Conservatory.
David is going up the stairs of the public Conservatory. Inside there are people of all kind with sounds of instruments that arrive from all directions.
At one point David stops in front of a bulletin board and with his finger starts to look for the graduates of 1998.
Turns around, sees a student and asks him.
David: Excuse me, can you tell me where I can find Prof. Peter Moore?
Student: Brake time has just started; for sure you will find him with the student of composition, try on the floor on top.
David: Thank you.
He turns around a goes up the stairs.
At the end of the corridor there is a group of student with a book in their hand around a blind middle age man.
Prof. Peter Moore: So do we agree. Monday I aspect your scripts in b#.
David gets close to the group.
David: b#?
Prof. Peter stops and shakes his head.
Prof. Peter Moore: Who spoke? I repeat, who spoke?
David: Prof. Moore.
The professor starts to laugh.
Prof. Peter Moore: students, if my ear does not let me down, I have the pleasure to present you the best student of the year 1998, excellent pianist and composer, Mr. David Parente.
Students: Pleasure.
David in a timid way.
David: My pleasure, (to the students) and more then all my pleasure to meet you Professor.
The scene moves to the corridor. There is the Professor walking with a hand on David’s shoulder and a cane.
The two start to talk.
Prof. Moore: What can I say; school is not the same place anymore, the time when you studied are pure utopia.
David: why professor? What is happening?
Prof. Moore: they have decided to close the conservatory within six months.
David: I can’t believe it professor, what is happening?
Prof. Moore: The American economy in crisis, the government is cutting all the expenses for culture; rightly they are giving priority to health.
David: My god, but this school is a piece of American history, they can’t close it like that.
Prof. Moore: even the actual economical crisis is a piece of American history my young friend.
David: and you? What will you do after all these years?
Prof. Moore: I’m like the score in b# of Monday, still in study (and starts to laugh)
They arrive in front of Professor Moore’s class room.
Prof. Moore: have we arrived?
David: yes.
Prof. Moore: come on, let´s go in.
The two go inside.
Prof. Moore: so, tell me, last time I saw you was at the bank, you were working and engaged a problematic one, tell me, are you playing?... hope good.
David: Yes, I play, as always professor, for what concerns the problematic one, there have been changes of intents, I’m single again.
The professor starts to laugh.
Prof. Moore: how do you feel? Are you sad?
Daivd: no, because there is another that is occupying my heart.
Prof. Moore: good my dear David, good, who is this lucky girl?
David: professor, you won´t believe it, but it’s a very famous person.
The professor stops him.
Prof. Moore: don’t tell me her name, I’m not interested if she’s famous, all I want to know if she is a good musician.
David: yes, she is, extraordinary.
Prof. Moore consents with happiness.
David: this is the reason why I’m here professor, because the reality is that I don’t know her personally but I can´t stop thinking of her.
Prof. Moore: and what´s the problem?
David: I still can´t figure out this feeling, sometimes I feel an idiot.
Prof. Moore: idiot? (and starts to laugh)
At one point the professor gets up and gets close to the library that he has behind him, with his index finger looks for a cd, finds it, and puts it in a stereo.
The music starts
Prof. Moore: do you remember this music?
David: yes, Bach!
Prof. Moore: yes J.S. Bach, still today I have an image in my mind, your class mates listening to this air would fall asleep, but between them there was a special boy of 18 year old that at the sound of it would cry.
David turns red
Prof.Moore: the idiots are those who don’t understand you....before you there have been famous example of falling in love with a look...Beethoven, Vivaldi, Mozart, in those days there certainly wasn’t television...but a look is a look.
Takes out the cd and puts another one of Puccini. It’s the Madame Butterfly.
Prof. Moore: ah ! the Italian school, (and starts to laugh), it’s in your vanes even if the modern stereotypes confuse your idea, please Mr. Parente, don’t come to visit me for such stupid reason, ok?
David: yes professor.
Prof. Moore: by the way, since you are here, will you give me a gift?
David: yes.
Prof. Moore: sometimes I sing that Italian melody that you wrote for the final test of your diploma, why don’t you play it for me?
David: certainly professor.
David gets close to the piano ad starts to play “ Gondola va”.
Prof. Moore smiles and sees.
Prof. Moore: remember David, being in front of music is like being in front of God, we are all alike.

The scene changes and the class room of Prof. Moore moves to the day of David’s diploma. There is a full theatre. In the firth row there is David’s mother sitting next to Prof. Moore. In the group that play there is also a girl playing the flout and the other girl of the metro playing the guitar.

Scene 2 ext. Day. New York. Recording room
Valentine is playing with the group in the recording room. At one point Tony enters with force.
Tony: Gentlemen, a moment of attention (pause).
Tony: We have the date of the tour.
Everybody stops playing
Surprise and hilarity is among the presents.
Tony: so, in about 20 day at New Orleans, Saint Louis and then we move to Florida, three dates in Miami.
Valentine signs Tony to stop and go with her to the side.
Valentine: (towards Tony) in a month the shootings of J.J.’s film start!
Tony: I know Valentine, but believe me, it better like this, suggestion? Take a pause to reflect.
Valentine remains in silence.
Tony: (toward the group) everybody at work, we don’t have a lot of time.
Scene 3 Ext. Morning Miami. On the sail boat.
You see Andrew and David on the sail boat, take a sail.
The two look at each other and smile.
David: if I arrive at 40 years of age and have not accomplished one of my dreams, I’m selling everything and buying a boat like this.
Andrew looks at him with sympathy well he sails.
David: I’ll put a piano, a computer, a satellite phone tree ipods on it and goodbye world.
Andrew: yes, but before you need to learn how to manoeuvre it if you don’t want to end you take tied at the dock.
The ride continues.
The scene goes back to the boat that is docked.
Andrew fixes up the ropes ad goes toward David.
Andrew: tell me, have you come back on the earth or are you still in Valentine Rossi orbit!
(Laughing)
David: funny.
Andrew cannot do without teasing him.
David: I feel like a scientist of the NASA at moment of launch of the Voyager at search of aliens, same percentages, same expectation.

Scene 4 ext. Morning. Miami
You see David entering with the car in the yacht club.
Turns the radio on.
Announce of the dates of the concert of Valentine Rossi.
Receives a text message on his cel phone.
Read it, it’ Lorena.

Sequence of scenes with the sound of David’s phone call in the back.

Phone calls.
Lorena: I did it! (Pause) A dear friend of my sister is responsible for the theatre where Valentine Rossi concert will be. We can see the show in the backstage and after the show, if God wants, you will meet her personally.
The scene moves to David’s house.
He opens the piano and starts playing. The picture of David’s hands that turn in to Valentine’s-
Several scenes of the following month and of the preparation for the tour.
David buying the suit that he will wear on the day of the concert, Valentine preparing choreography, David in the clinic and at one point the scene goes on the doctor face.
Doctor: good news, the treatment is working; we are almost there (with the results of the analysis)
SEQUENCE 7
Scene 1 Ext. Night Miami.
The light of the theatre is on with advertising Valentine’s concert.
David is home. A car arrives. Horn blows. David goes out and gets close to the car. Inside is Lorena.
David: Andrew?
Lorena: forget about it! (Shaking her head) before going out (the scene moves to Andrew and Lorena’s) (scene of Andrew talk with Lorena)....I don’t want to be participate to his destruction! (Lorena laughs)
Lorena looks at David and grabs his face.
Lorena: you look so cute!
David: thank you, let´s go.
Lorena starts the car and they leave.
Scene 2 Ext. Night. Miami. Theatre.
The friend of the sister of Lorena accompanies them in a corridor. A lot of noise is coming from the gallery where the public is. At one point they arrive right by the back stage.
Friend: We have arrived, stay here, when the concert is over I will come to get you again.
David: thank you, I really don’t know how to thank you. (Looking at Lorena)
At one point they see arriving towards them a group of people. They are the musicians that are getting on the stage.
After a few seconds arrives Valentine escorted from Tony.
At Valentine’s passage there is an intense exchange of looks between David and Valentine, after passing completely in front, she turns around and looks at him like if she knows him.
Tony takes her under arm.
Tony: come on they are waiting for you. (Toward Valentine)
Valentine turns, gets ready and enters.
The concert starts and the public is in ecstasies.
Lorena looks at David and in the exact moment she’s about to say something, David stops her.
David: please, don’t say a thing, don’t say a thing.
Scene 3 Ext. Night. Miami. Theatre.
During the concert David and Lorena dance. During the music David looks at Lorena and tells her.
David: fantastic (toward Valentine).
The concert ends, the lights go off on stage; Tony enters, goes close to Valentine and says something in her ear.
The two leave the stage in a hurry, they pass in front of David running, something happened, the bodyguards move immediately and you see Valentine going out the emergency door with the concert close on.
Scene 4 Ext. Night. Miami. Valentine’s limousine.
In the limo there is Valentine and Tony with a sad atmosphere.
Valentine receives a call on her cell phone.
Valentine: yes, mom, I’m returning to New York, J.J. has had a heart attack.
The limousine is in direction of the airport.
Scene 5 Ext. Day. Miami. David’s house.
David just got up. Turns the TV on. There is news on Valentine.
Journalist: the tour of Valentine Rossi has been suspended to new dates, yesterday during her performance in Miami the news of the terrible accident arrived of her companion J.J. Wilson on the set of his new movie. The causes are not known, the only new is that during the shooting, Valentine Rossi’s boyfriend, more popular to the public for his relationship with the singer then his artistic qualities, collapsed, assisted, was brought to the hospital emergency room. The musician has not released any official interview, at this moment is in New York and it´s easy to believe she will stay there for a while.

Andrew answers
Andrew: hello, who is it?
David: are your sailing lessons still available?
Andrew: sure, when do you want to start?
David: as soon as possible.
Andrew: ok, I will wait for you tomorrow morning early at the same place.
SEQUENCE 8
Scene 1 Ext. Morning. Miami. At sea.
You see Andrew and David sailing, with the first one giving instructions so how to organize the boat.
Scene 2 Ext. Day. New York. Hospital exit.
Valentine, J.J. and Tony are exiting the hospital. There is a huge crowd journalist and fans.
Journalist: how is he, how is he?
The tree bodyguards arrive and escort them to the limousine that is waiting for them. Tony sits in front and Valentine and J.J. in the back.
Valentine: wow how much people.
J.J. looks at them with an ironic smile.
J.J.: all free advertisement for the movie and the tour. (Laughing)
Valentine: I just hope that the truth does not come out.(towards Tony)
Scene 4 Ext. Day. Miami. In front of the bank.
David enters the bank, he turns and sees a bus passing with the advertisement of Valentine.
Scene 5 Ext. Day. New York. Valentine’s apartment.
Valentine: (towards J.J.) now rest.
J.J .enters in the living room, goes up to the painting of Wharol e looks at it from close up.
J.J.: beautiful painting, how is it, you? I never noticed it.
Tony looks at him and shakes his head.
Scene 6 Ext. Afternoon. Miami. Supermarket.
David enters in a supermarket. Gets in line to pay. When he arrives to the cashier he sees a newspaper with Valentine on front page.
Scene 7 Night. New York. Valentine’s apartment.
Valentine in the living room with Tony when the maid arrives.
Maid: Madame your mother is on the phone.
Valentine: Thank you.
Valentine answers the phone well Tony is reading the newspaper with Valentine in first page.
You see Valentine talking with her mother and at one point the tone of the conversation changes.
Valentine: what? Seriously? Wait, I’ll pass you Tony, speak about it with him.
Valentine passes the phone to Tony.
Tony: hello, hi Marie, tell me.
Scene 8. Morning. Miami. At sea.
There are David and Andrew sailing, David is holding the rudder, at one point he makes a wrong manoeuvre and the boat makes a strange turn.
Andrew: Fuck David, easy, treat it nice, come on let me at the rudder, I don’t like the see today.
David: ok.
Leaves the rudder to Andrew and sits checking the sail.
Andrew: undo those knots (indicating them).
David: witch ones? These ones?
Andrew consents.
David bends over to untie the knot, a wave arrives, the boats starts to cradle, David stands up get something and the sail swings and knocks him into the water.
Andrew: David, David, my God David, David (desperate)
David is in the water unconscious.
Andrew ties a rope to his ankle and jumps in the water.
Andrew: David, David!
You see Andrew catching David.
Scene 9 Ext. Day. Hospital of Miami
David is on a bed unconscious, with the oxygen mask on, the siren of the ambulance is on, they are transporting him to the hospital, nurses are transporting him along a corridor. Lorena and Andrew are on his side with an expression of fear on their faces.
Scene 10 Ext. Day. Miami hospital.
There are Lorena and Andrew in the waiting room.
The doctor arrives and they get up.
Andrew and Lorena: doctor tell us tell us!
Doctor: he got hit pretty hard; he has a very large brain oedema, in this moment he is in a coma.
Andrew: Coma?
Lorena: oh my God (crying)
Andrew: can he come out of it? Doctor please tell us (with preoccupation)
Doctor: there are possibilities of recovery, but we must wait, his defence system is very fragile.
Lorena: fragile?
Doctor: I received from a colleague of mine the clinic folder of Mr. Parente and he was finalizing a chemotherapy treatment, in these cases everything gets much more complicated.
Andrew and Lorena look at each other without understanding.
Doctor: in any case let´s try to be positive.
SEQUENCE 9
Scene 1 Exr. Afternoon. Miami. In the hospital parking.
Andrew and Lorena get in the car.
At one point from David jacket arrives the sound of his cell phone.
Lorena takes it and answers.
Lorena: hello.
On the other side is Tony
Tony: Yes, good morning, please Mr. David Parente.
Lorena: At this moment he is not available, but you can tell me.
Tony: ok , it’s Tony Lowell, I am Valentine Rossi’s manager (Lorena expresses surprise), we need to contact him.
Lorena: what???
Tony: Ok, I will explain, Mrs Marie, Valentine’s mother saw by coincidence on You Tube a song that David had dedicated to Valentine and has particularly impressed by it. She called us and had us listen to it. We liked it immediately. Valentine is arriving tomorrow at Miami to organize her next concert, she would like to meet David and be able to know him and have the authorization for the song.
Lorena: In which hotel did you say?
Scene 2 Ext, Day. Miami. Valentine’s hotel.
Andrew and Lorena enter the hotel where Valentine is guest.
That sit in the waiting room, at one point Valentine exits the elevator and goes towards them.
Well, getting close to them and looking at Andrew....Valentine asks.
Valentine: David, is it you?
The couple shakes there head no and right after you see the three talking, they are telling Valentine about the accident.
Scene 3 Ext. Day. Miami. Hospital.
Valentine, Andrew and Lorena arrive at the hospital. A long the corridor they meet the doctor. Lorena indicates him with the hand. Valentine, that to not be recognized is wearing a hat and dark sun glasses, looks at him and asks him.
Valentine: how is he?
Doctor: he is still stationary.
The scene moves to the waiting room were David is. There are waiting Prof. Peter Moore accompanied from two girls of the conservatory.
Prof. Moore: The boy is strong; he will make it (towards one of the two girls while leaning on the shoulder of the other one)
As soon as he realizes of the arrival of Valentine, he takes her glasses off puts his hands on her face and smiles.
Prof. Moore: David was right (smiling)
Takes some cd’s out of his pocket, and give them to Valentine.
Prof. Moore: take them….this is David’s favourite music, it will help him.
Valentine takes the cd’s and looks at them, Andrew, moved, looks at everything next to Lorena.
Prof. Moore: (towards the tree) please be close to him.
The professor and the two girls leave.
SEQUENCE 10
Scene 1 Ext. Afternoon. Miami. Valentine’s hotel.
Valentine after the hospital returns to the hotel. She goes to the front desk to get her key.
As soon as she gets to the desk the concierge gives her a package.
Consierge: Madame good afternoon, Mr. Linch left me this pack for you.
Valentine takes it in her hand and looks at it with surprise.
Valentine: thank you.
Consierge: Madame, at your duty.
Valentine turns and goes towards the elevator.
The camera has a sudden but slow flash back, like if it was rewinding and like magic returns to the sail boat well David and Andrew were sailing.
During the flash back you can hear in the back ground David’s voice.
“I feel like a NASA scientist at the launch of the Voyager at the research of aliens, same percentage, same wait.”
The scene now moves to the parking lot of dock 4. David takes a box with an envelope from the car and gives it to Andrew.
David: take it.
Andrew takes the pack in his hands and starts to laugh.
Andrew: what is it, a gift?
David: can I trust you?
Andrew: after all these year, you still ask me that?
David: there is something that you don’t know, all I’m asking is to conserve this box, if something happens to me open this letter and you will find instructions.
Andrew: what is it, a will?
David: I can’t say more.
Scene 2 Ext. Night. Miami Valentine’s hotel apartment.
Valentine enters the apartment. Sit on the couch, takes the package and opens it.
It full of paper, scores, pictures, but at the bottom of the box there is a diary, she takes it, opens it and at the first page there is written.
“To the only woman I would marry at the blind.”
She starts to read the diary, here the eyes stop on certain phrases that are the same phrases that David used a lot during the staging.
....I love to see you play....
....But I’m not alone; I have a lot of resources and curiosity that never leave me the time to be alone....
....All I need to do is sit in front of the piano and my guardian angels arrive....
We musicians are a category of its own, our soul is different...
I swear, your fame, your money, your name, don’t interest me...
What I feel for you is unconditioned.
In other words when I see you I see music and when I hear music I see you.
....I am nobody, I know, but I feel like if there is something bigger.... like something “Karma” related, from another life....
If at one point I became famous? I would take out the minimum out of the income to survive and give the rest to charity, I can´t relate art to lucre.
Being in front of music is like being in front of God, we are all alike....
The cell rings, it’s J.J.
Valentine looks at it and shuts it off.
Takes the scores of David’s song she goes towards the piano and starts to play.
Play and sings with emotion.
Get up, takes a picture of David from the box and immediately remembers that look the day of the concert.
Next to the picture is a piece of paper with a pencil design on it. There is a heart next to one piano with two guys holding their hands.
She opens it and hugs it tight to her chest, closes it and puts it in her pocket.
Scene 3 Ext. Day. Hospital where David is recovered.
Valentine enters again the hospital. This time on her own. Arrives in front of the room where David is and there is Andrew sitting.
As soon as he sees her he gets up and goes towards here. Valentine looks at him and with a gesture makes him understand that she received the package, shows him the paper with the design on it.
Valentine: can I see him?
Andrew: yes go in.
Andrew opens the door. Valentine has with here some cd’s that the professor had left with her.
Valentine goes close to bed, looks at David, sits and takes his hand.

Valentine gets close to David ear and softly starts to sing the song that David had dreamed to sing for her at Central Park.
Valentine: David, please, wake up.
There is all a sequence of Valentine in the room. Having him listen the CD’s. Talking to him.
In the mean while it sees arriving long the corridor of the hospital Lisa, David’s ex girl friend.
She gets close and finds Andrew.
Andrew gets up and hugs here.
Lisa: as soon as I found out I came in a hurry, how is he?
Andrew: still bad, we are waiting.
Lisa: my God! (Bringing her hands to her face)
At one point Lisa hears a melody from David’s room.
Lisa: (towards David) who is with David?
Andrew: a friend of ours.
Lisa: Andrew, I want to see David.
Andrew: wait, wait just a little bit.
Lisa taken from curiosity and malice, opens the door, and sees Valentine sitting next to David’s bed, looks at her, enters, and in silence looks at David. After a few seconds gets close to Valentine and puts her hand towards her.
Lisa: My pleasure, Lisa Carter.
Valentine gets up and shakes her hand.
Valentine: Valentine Rossi, my pleasure.
Lisa is without words, looks at her carefully.
Lisa: take all the time you need, I will be outside (turns and goes out).
Out of the room is Andrew.

Lisa gets her cell phone and starts to compose a phone number; while she call she speaks to Andrew.

Lisa: Andrew! There is Valentine Rossi in that room, shit, Valentine Rossi is on the mouth of all America (takes a pause), I’ll have some of the guys come over and will put together an article in no time,...network... hello....it’s me Lisa Carter.
Andrew without words and furious takes the phone away from Lisa’s ear throws it on the floor and starts to yell
Andrew: Get out, get out!
Lisa: but…
Andrew: get out dame it! I don’t ever want to see you come here again and ever again with David, get out blood sucker!
Lisa bends her head down, picks up her cell phone (or what is left of it), turns and gives a last look at Andrew.
Andrew: you don’t have a soul!
Scene 4 Ext. Night. Valentine’s hotel apartment.
Valentine is sitting reading David’ scripts. Sit again at the piano, the TV is on, she gets up, turns it off, turns to the piano and see David sitting in front of the keyboard.
David: what a beautiful piano (towards Valentine, smiling)
Valentine is dreaming in the same form of David.
Valentine: David, David, (she gets close to him and hugs him from behind), please, stay here.
David starts to play.
David: did you like the material I gave you?
Valentine with a gesture of love approves.
Silence between the two is broken from the piano.
David turns and holds Valentine’s hands.
David: thank you, that’s all I dreamed.
Valentine turns back to present and sees her hands on the keyboard, the door bell rings.
SEQUENCE 11
Scene 1 Ext. Morning. Miami. Andrew and Lorena house.
The picture is on the alarm clock which is marking 7 am.
The phone rings.
Lorena turns in the bed and gets it.
Lorena: hello (looking at the time)
Listens and hangs up.
Hugs Andrew and starts to cry.
Scene 2.Ext.Morning.Miami. on the boat
Andrew is sailing with staring the sea, crying.
Scene 3.Ext.Morning.Miami. Conservatory.
Prof. Moore sitting in front of the piano that David had used the day of his visit, touches the keyboard with his fingers, does not play and closes it putting is head on it.
Scene 4. Ext. Morning. Miami. Metro
The girl of the Metro takes the guitar off and leans it on the wall.
Scene 5 Ext.Mattina.Miami. philharmonic trying room.
The girl of the flute that during try out, stops playing, takes her flute and puts in the protection.
Absolute silence.
Scene 6. Ext.Day.Funeral at the church.
The scene starts with the funeral. There are all the protagonist sitting in direction of casket.
After the homily, from a bench Valentine gets up, with dark glasses on, goes towards the altar where the piano is.
She turns towards Prof. Moore, bow’s, sits and starts to play and sing “The Air” of Bach.
The images of Davis scrawl.
People are crying. Once the music is over, a group of students of the conservatory get up and put on the casket a series of scores on the casket, it’s the famous composition in b#.
SEQUENCE 12
Scene 1. Ext.Night Miami. Theatre of Valentine’s concert.
There is a big public in fermentation in the pit
Valentine arrives behind the scenes, she turns back in the same spot where she saw David, takes the design out of her pocket and look at it.
Tony is next to her, hugs her.
Tony: Come on you can do it.
Valentine assents.
The lights go off, Valentine enters on her own, in the middle of the stage there is the piano.
She sits, puts David’s design next to the keyboard.
The crowd is in ecstasies.
Valentine: good evening!
The public shouts out loud the name of Valentine
Valentine: today is a special day, (pause) and being a special day, I would like to start the concert differently, just me alone, with my piano and all of you.
The first notes, are always the most important, so I have decided to play for you a special song...Written from a special person…
There are moments in our life that things happened and we are not able to understand the causes… sometime we forget that there are issues that are not detectable…often we give up…but almost always we learn the lesson…
In these days I’ve realized how lucky I am, and sometimes talent is not everything.
I’m going to ask you only one thing well I play this song, close your eyes, think of a big heart, to a piano and to young couple that love each other holding their hands.....and dream, dream, without fear.
Valentine starts to play.
The public have their eyes closed.
At one point Valentine sees David in the crowd, stops playing, gets up and with her huge heart beat jumps from the stage into the public, a corridor opens up and she runs to him, he is there standing, Valentine arrives and there is a big hug full of emotion.
Around them comes forming a circle of photographers, journalist, fans.
The public starts to applaud.
The circle opens up and in sequence there are Andrew, Lorena, little Alicia, Tony, the musicians, Nancy, David´s boss, Valentine´s friends, David´s mother with Valentine’s mother, all standing and clapping, it’s Valentine and David’s last dream.
The music continues.
The scene moves to the public conservatory, there is a picture overlooking the corridor and you can see Prof. Moore with the students around him.
Prof. Moore: so…we all agree, Monday I aspect on my desk the scores of your composition in b#.
The scene continues and stops on the flute student that is now giving lessons herself and sitting in the corridor there is the girl of the metro with a guitar teaching some students.
The camera continues its trip inside the school and it stops with a final focus on a sign hanging by the entrance, with written :
